SIMB is an organization of dedicated volunteers that supports both the Band and Orchestra programs at Strongsville High School
as well as at the middle and elementary school levels. We're able to do this by raising funds through membership dues and fundraising events such as Consession Stands, Hoagie Sales, Raffles, Community Events and other activities. So look around our website and we'd appreciate any support and/or volunteering that you're able to offer. And we hope to see you at a musical event this year!

Interested in Running the Concessions Program???
The concessions program generates TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars for our instrumental music programs. These
dollars directly benefit our sons and daughters by going towards things like sheet music, uniform repairs, and many
other “general” expenses. Concession sales are NOT used for individual trip accounts. We must ensure that SIMB
continues to run a successful concessions program for our kids. If not, the program may be given to another booster
group who can consistently provide people to manage the program.
Sue and I are entering our second, and final year of “running the show”.
We are looking for our replacements -- someone who has the interest and the time to keep this great money making
opportunity in SIMB’s hands. Are you that “someone”? Ideally, we’d like to see this program
become “self-propelled”. Only 2 couples have run concessions over the past 6 years. That sets us up for “reinventing
the wheel” every few years. We need to structure it so that the parents of sophomores or juniors are running the
program, while looking for a first or second year couple to “train” for the following season. And that’s where we’re
at today -- looking for someone to “train” for next season. Note that we keep referring to “couples”. We don’t care if
it’s a husband and wife team, boyfriend and girlfriend, or two moms who live in the same neighborhood. We just feel
that this endeavor is better managed with two (or more) people, as most folks wouldn’t have the time and energy
required to manage the entire program themselves.
Please give us a call if you have an interest or would like some additional information about the program. We’ll provide
all the training you need, and we’ll still be around next year to help you work through the operational aspects. We’ve
taken lots of notes, and have used the excellent resources given to us by our predecessors, the Zinni’s, to continue
the fine tradition that they started several years ago. Please help keep it strong. It’s hard work... It takes dedication and
lots of time. But it’s very rewarding when you begin to realize all of the good that comes from concessions sales.
